Anonymous for the Voiceless

I spotted a silent protest at the weekend in Nottingham.

When i say spotted, it was pretty hard not to miss it as a group of activists were protesting on one of Nottingham;s busiest shopping streets

"Anonymous for the Voiceless" is an animal rights organisation that specializes in street activism.

They were in effect bestowing the virtues of a vegan diet.

Hhmm - if one is passionate about one's cause then you should be proud to stand up for it, not hide your face behind a mask. There is nothing illegal about a silent protest and certainly their cause is one to be highlighted. (getting off soap box now!) :-)

That mask seems to be very popular with protesters who do not want to show their face. Truth ...... everybody tries to hide it nowadays (especially politicians). Great street capture.

Slightly intimidating maybe for animal lovers? I think I'm with @Cherrill

@ivan @lynnz @kerristephens @judithg @sangwann @Cherrill @bizziebeeme @maggiemae thanks everyone, not all the protesters were wearing masks. I chatted to some about the protest who were wearing hoody's without a mask.

Intriguing and thought provoking street capture.
They immediately brought some of Dr. Who's scary adversaries to mind and made me reflect on the feeling I have that some supporters of causes can be frighteningly fanatical.

@dulciknit thanks allson, the protesters in masks were silent but they had people on the outside dressed in hoodies telling the public the reasons behind the protest. I spoke to one and took her picture but decided not to use her as a stranger, even though the photo was striking
