The view from and to Newark Castle Wall

Watching You Watching Me

Two people look through one of the windows of Newark Castle, while I look towards the to people in the window.

Watching You Watching Me

Shot last month in Newark on my Sony A6000 and my nifty fifty
Beautiful shot! I like the window as a frame!

@kwind @quietpurplehaze @ivan @sangwann thanks everyone . I hesitated about posting this so ibam pleased to see it made the PP with just four comments. . I am wondering if I should have cropped the top windows out and present it letterbox style. Any thoughts on letterboxing it 😀

@phil_howcroft

Do you think a really narrow letterbox would suit? Crop the top and the bottom?

Shows off beautifully the amazing range of brickwork. You beautifully shaped windows!

I'm glad you didn't crop Ohil as it's a pity to lose any if this windows but I see what you mean it would make a very nice letterbox. Glad we have seen it 'whole' though!

Great framing and it works well in b&w. I have to confess that, as an abstract fanatic, I'm drawn to the mosaic appearance created by the different tones in the stonework.
Think it might lose balance if you were to crop the top windows out. Your call, though. Maybe put it on the back burner for another month or two, or even longer? One day you'll look at it and suddenly find yourself saying "Ah, that's what it needs." or "It's fine as it is."
