Nottingham's St Patrick Day celebrations were seriously curtailed on Saturda as the bad weather caused the organisers to cancel the celebrations taking place, centre stage in the Old Market Square.
There was still a parade, but this took place in both blizzard conditions and sunshine.
Prior to the parade starting I saw a family with their Irish Wolf Hounds and being a dog person I couldn't resist asking them for a team photo,
As you can see it was snowing quite hard which seems to add to the mood of the photo.
the girl on the left looks like she is freezing. She should dress better in the snow and make sure she pulls that zip up all the way! lol those dogs are HUGE!
How lovely to see these big gentle giants (I mean the dogs !!) The two are game for a bit of Irish Jig , while the middle one certainly want to get home to the fireside !!
what a fabulous photo Phil - I loved seeing a whole group with their Irish Wolfhounds at a St Pats parade a few years ago - they're gorgeous dogs - so big!
This is such an appealing image. I keep being drawn back to study it some more. Something a bit different and lots of interest, impact, and atmosphere. Fav.
Sheesh, I knew Irish Wolfhounds are big but the one on the right's massive - more like a pony!
