My second stranger from Saturday's Sneinton Festival in Nottingham
I spotted Clare when we first arrived at the Festival in Trickett's Park.
Clare was playing tambourine in a band near the entrance.
After we'd had a look around the small community based festival, I decided I would approach Clare for a photo.
I was in luck as the band was just finishing their set and the lead singer saw my camera and shouted me to take a picture of the group.
So the ice was broken and after I'd took a few shots I smiled at Clare and asked her if she would be one of my strangers.
Clare had actually heard of the project, stating one of her friends was doing the project. I asked Clare what her friend was called but didn’t recognise the name as a local photographer.
Claire said she was excited to be taking part in the project. I asked if she would stand in the shade of some trees as I knew the location would create great catchlights.
I asked Clare about her T-Shirt which had a logo on it. The T-Shirt said "Capoeira Nottingham"
Clare told me that Capoeira is a Brasilian sport that combines dance, martial-art, acrobatics and music. Clare really enjoyed Capoeira.
When not doing Capoeira, Clare is a full time mother.
Oh and Clare's tambourine playing skills. She was not actually a member of the band, she was "volunteered" to play the tambourine while listening to the band. The hat too was a band prop rather than Clare;s own hat !
The photo was edited in Rawtherapee and GIMP and my choice of the shaded location did indeed create great catchlights.
Thanks for being stranger number 135 in my project Clare. I've sent some pics to Clare and she really likes them
