Pride Smiles by phil_howcroft

Pride Smiles

These three ladies were on a market stall at Nottingham Pride yesterday.

They were selling hand made soya melts.

I started chatting to them about the stall and then asked them for a picture.

After I'd took the picture I said to the lady in the middle that I recognised her but didn't know where from.

"I''m an actor" she told me.

I then realised who she was "Oh yes, your are from the Police Crime Drama, You have a Nottingham Tram named after you"

A lovely happy shot - not always easy to capture a smile simultaneously on 3 subjects!

Beautiful smiles and happy faces. You seem to attract the beauties. Perhaps they are told in advance that a professional photographer is on the rampage to find his subjects.

@phil_howcroft

Ah yes I use that but had not thought of in that situation.
. Thanks!

@quietpurplehaze I do all my stranger pics on 'slow multiple pics " . That way you always tend to get eyes open and the best pose . 3 or 4 different point of views / poses each shot on "Slow drive" . I end up with about 12 to 20 shots per stranger .
Only issue with multiple shots is ensuring you keep the focus but camera settings can overcome that and I spot focus too

@phil_howcroft

Well, thank you, Phil. I have only used burst when shooting a guitarist playing and it worked really well then. It would have been good yesterday when a lady agreed to have her photo taken but said she did not even let her husband take a photo of her. She would only allow 2 shots so that's all I have to work with - burst would have been good - will experiment.
