HELIOS Bauble and Bokeh by phil_howcroft

HELIOS Bauble and Bokeh

This is another shot with my HELIOS 44M 58/2 vintage Russian lens.

A bauble on our Christmas Tree , shot wide open at f2.

There's a selfie reflection in the purple bauble. I am on my hands and knees with my camera in a tripod

Not a bad efort for an old vintage lens.

A Rawtherapee / GIMP edit

It's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas
This is beautiful - we have the same lens Phil! Must say mine's taking a lot of getting used to but I hope I can get something as good as this in the end.

Nice focus and bokeh. Funny how arty photography has created a whole bunch of wonderful pictures using things we used to throw away in despair from our developed film packets, bokeh, sun flares, double exposure, camera movement.

Great shot. When I saw you there on the floor I didn't notice the tripod and was saying to myself "How did he manage to take such a great shot with the camera hand-held". Great focusing.
