The Day Before The Wedding (vintage leica summicron lens)
This is my daughter Claire
She gets married tomorrow
I had the day off work as we had a lot of pre wedding jobs to do. Our final job was to walk our whippet Ruby, before she went off to a colleague from work, who does dog sitting. This shot was took on our walk as I thought the big row of railings would make a nice backdrop.
I shot this with my late fathers leica summicron 5cm f2 collapsible lens attached to my Sony A6000. The lens is from 1953 and as you can see it did a great job.
I used my Dad's lens so he sort of took part in the wedding, I will take some morning prep shots with the lens before I switch to my Sony 50mm f1.8
This was shot somewhere between f4 and f5.6 on the aperture ring.
I've done my speech , it's in my wife's hand bag , I practised it on my wife last night and she was laughing out loud :)
Wow! Congratulations to your daughter and may they live happily ever after. I am sure you and your wife will be the proud parents during the wedding and after that, too. Have a fabulous day.
Just up in the night & saw this post. Hope you’ve all had a wonderful day Phil, weather was good to you too! My very best wishes to your Clare & her new husband!
