Nottingham Wise Owl Walk by phil_howcroft

Nottingham Wise Owl Walk

This Autumn sees the appearance of ten decorative owls located around Nottingham City Centre . They are all part of the Wise Owl Walk an interactive experience to encourage people to return to the city following lockdown.

The trail spans Nottingham city centre creating a fun and interactive walk to help people discover different parts of the city, attract visitors and promote dwell time in each area of the city. Each owl is unique and has been given a name with a Nottingham theme.

I photographed them all this morning while my wife did some shopping in Primarni and Marks and Spencer

This is Lacey, who is situated in the Nottingham Lace Market area of the city. Lacey was designed by artist RP Roberts and the design reflects the history of Lace in the city. It is red and white in the colours of Nottingham Forest. It is spray painted in Red and white through various pieces of Lace

The Owls have an anti-bacterial varnish applied and are cleaned on a regular basis by Nottingham City Council.

BTW : A group of Owls is a "Parliament".

That's pretty cool! I like the red owl - wise to walk. =)

I like the architecture in the background and the optimistic red of the owl counterbalances the slightly sinister aspect of the black-masked figure!
