This is Hazel who I photographed at Bolero Square, Nottingham, on Saturday.
Bolero Square is a big open space outside the entrance to the Nottingham Arena, where the CosPlay event EmCom was taking place.
I didn’t really get a back story to Hazel, other than she is a CosPlayer and was dressed as Rapunzel, who appears in Walt Disney Animation Studios' 50th animated feature film Tangled. Rapunzel is a young princess kept unaware of her royal heritage by a vain old woman named Mother Gothel, who raises her in a secluded tower to exploit her hair's healing abilities to remain young and beautiful forever.
Oh and the Frying Pan, I hear you ask? The frying pan helps Rapunzel feel strong and powerful . It's a real confidence booster. The frying pan is also a great hugger. It's one of the things that Rapunzel can always rely on and it helps her stand up to all sorts of people (Wikepedia).
The full length shot of Hazel is on my Sony RX100 VII.
I love the frying pan as a weapon of self defense. My great grandmother was known for wielding kitchen utensils from wooden spoons to rolling pins to cast iron skillets.
