This little Robin has been part of the family for many years. He used to live on top of the carriage clock on top of the television (when televisions were cathode ray tubes and had a top). When the carriage clock was retired he and his mate perched on top of some picture frames / artwork in the lounge. When they disappeared he made it back to the television, perching on top of the slim LCD screen. He then made it to a winter tree decoration we bought from Next. He never made it back to the TV as that is now a fancy OLED TV.
As for his mate, he lives in an LED tree outside decoration, keeping an eye on the street. I think this Robin probably got the best deal.
Fabulous bokeh in the background. What a cute decoration for the Christmas tree - this one is very lucky compared to the one who has to stand outside in the cold.
Isn't he a sweetie? Ah you brought back memories there! We use to rent our black and white telly and it only had 3 buttons on it you had to get up and press by hand. Got excited about our first colour one, though still rented, and I still remember a friend from school in my Physics class coming around to check it out because it had "Ceefax" and "Teletext" and he had heard of it but never seen it for real. Aye me, those were the days!
Your robin has seen a lot of changes. I am glad you still have him.
@casablanca thanks Casa' , yes we all used to rent our televisions , how daft does that sound now ? Ceefax and Teletext , that's how I used to follow the football back in the day !!! Thanks for your lovely comment
He looks to me like he now has just the perfect spot to perch. i too love to bring out the same decorations year by year, slowly adding to them as and when but never letting go of old friends.
Your robin has seen a lot of changes. I am glad you still have him.
