A friendly visitor : Shot with 50 years old jupiter 11a 135mm f4 Russian vintage lens
This little Robin was following my wife around the garden when she was digging and hoeing the borders of our garden. It was rich pickings for worms and grubs
So I got one of my longer vintage lenses out and attached it to my Sony A6000. Jupiter 11A is a Russian prime lens built in the KOMZ , Kazan Optical Mechanical Factory, 435 miles due East of Moscow, The lens is a copy of a Carl Zeiss "sonnar" design. Some people argue it is as good as the said Carl Zeiss . The serial number markings on the lens (first tow digits), indicate it is from 1972
Fabulous capture. A portrait of a very different type wonderfully executed. That is a nice way to live, the wife does the garden work and you watch with camera in hand, haha.
Sounds like an enjoyable way to catch the little bird. Something so cheery about having a robin sticking around when doing the garden. You caught him well.
