Clifton Suspension Bridge by phil_sandford

Clifton Suspension Bridge

Okay, still got a punnet of cherries in the fridge, I've only used 3 so far. Had an idea late last night, wonder if I were to stand them in a bowl of milk? Well this evening, I gave that a go.

It didn't go well 😃

So, I'm currently sat in the car about half a mile away from the Clifton Suspension Bridge, having just got back from visiting it and taking a few pictures.

Foul evening (it rained on St Swithins' Day after all), heaving down with rain, grey sky, overcast, rubbish light, so this is the best I could do on this visit. Will come again if Summer returns.

It is an amazing piece of engineering, which if you have the time and/or the inclination, you can read more about at the Wikipedia page at the following link.

I haven't walked across there in years. I think the charge was about 2p (c.1974). Nice Picture 🙂

"Mother said we would have days like that. " smile. I like the pov on this , it looks so substantial, built out of bricks instead of metal.

It's an amazing structure, I will be going back on days with better weather, as I took a drive around and found other great areas to take it from

@johnsutton £1 now for a car to cross. don't know about pedestrians
