A weed is classified as a plant situated where it is not wanted. Well, we’ve got quite a few of these in the border. Very beautiful, perfect for today’s rainbow challenge, but it’s a weed. It’s a purple weed, and is great for today, but it’s a weed.

Lovely capture for the theme - such a pretty wildflower with lovely centre - (it reminds me of a plant I purchased last year - the Balkan single Anenome).
When we lived in the foothills we had some really beautiful “weeds” so we selectively weeded. After 10 years our yard was covered in beautiful colors every spring and then they died back for the heat and our planted flowers showed through. If you like them and they aren’t invasive just enjoy them.
I'm glad to read the description of a "weed" - guess that's why I refer to dandelions as weeds on my lawn but like them at the park :) Great color here.
