Mrs Tiggywinkle by phil_sandford

Mrs Tiggywinkle

or, to be fair, it could very well be a Mr Tiggywinkle.

We don’t see many hedgehogs these days, so was surprised to see this one on the edge of the flowerbed just after Carole got home. We both grabbed our cameras and slowly made our way to catch him. Carole sadly immediately had her battery die and by the time she came back out, the hog was shuffling toward the fence and out into the field behind our house and was gone.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
So cute

Years since I last saw a hedgehog. We often used to get them when I was a child. I remember trying to entice one out that had wandered into the kitchen, run under the kitchen cupboard and rolled up in a ball, which promptly got it wedged! Got it out in the end. This one is a very handsome hedgie.

Aaw ! how delightful ! I love to see hedgehogs but alas - they are better to stay clear of our back-garden with Alfie(dog) around . Such a lovely capture ! fav

I am sure Mr or Mrs Twiggywinkle will be back. Tell Carole to be prepared next time.

That is a lovely capture. Great focus, too. Such a nice thing when it all works out. Sadly, not for Carole this time. Wish her better luck tomorrow.
