Once again, Carole and I have Richard ( @rjb71 ) to thank, who did the early reconnaissance last week and was then kind enough, via Twitter, to give me the location for the sunflowers. We took a trip out this morning (via Grantham because of my idiot use of the SatNav (knew it was wrong when it told me I’d reached my destination in Grantham high Street and there wasn’t a sunflower to be seen)).
We paid £10, borrowed a set of clippers, and spent almost an hour wandering around the sunflowers photographing them before picking a gihuge armful to take home.
This one was actually on its own in the middle of a field of blue.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Nice shot Phil glad you and Carole made it down to see them. The charity is one my son has used a few times. They help disabled people access sailing on Rutland Water the purple flowers are phacelia. I only know this as I asked the owner.
Thank you again for the location.
