Mrs Woody’s first visit of 2022 that I’ve seen; still very very skittish, you have to be very slow whilst setting up to capture him, even through the kitchen window, if she sees you she’s off.

@thewatersphotos I think they just hammer their beaks into the nuts through the holes in the mesh and their tongues do the rest. Squirrels do similar but with their ratty rodent teeth.
