A new season is upon us. New Head Coach from Australia, he’s appointed almost a completely new coaching team (thank for nothing RFU) and it’s a World Cup year (which historically has always hurt us) and the CEO has said we “don’t do transition seasons.” I think she may be proved wrong.
Good run out tonight against our neighbours from the Championship, Nottingham in a pre season friendly; over 30 players used by both sides over the 80 minutes, so you can’t read too much into the result (which was a 36-19 win for Tigers)
I think if I was still in the UK, I'd want to follow the Tigers. Purely for the colourful kit, and the Tiger! Never followed rugby until I moved to New Zealand where I became brain washed. I think the All Blacks may. have a battle on their hands this World Cup
@yorkshirekiwi We’ve had some great change kits in recent years. Traditionally it’s Red White and Green (this years is the original light green which is very popular with the fans). Tigers are one of the biggest Clubs in the UK certainly, and possibly the world. I guess, given your name, Leeds Carnegie would have been the club for you, sadly they went bust around 7 years ago (still exist, in name, but had to start again in lower leagues)
I cannot see anybody beating the South Africans at the World Cup this year, but anybody who writes off the All Blacks, do so at their peril.
