Ontario's oldest hydroelectric generating site (dating to the 1870s, preserved as a static display) is also a pretty spot in my town for hiking and for art-- including photography! I took this photo from the roadside today, as it's quite snowy in the woods right now and Husband currently has an ankle injury that makes walking/uneven surfaces quite difficult. Sadly it looks like our Sheave Tower has sustained some damage since last time we were out this way (I think I remember hearing there was a small fire at some point); I hope it can be repaired!
