scene in the high country

I'm not sure what has caused the death of so many trees but it looks like fur over the mountainside. very strange.

The landscape is beautiful with its wonderful rolling hills! I hope that more trees grow back in the place of those that have been lost.

where is this taken Wylie...looks a bit like where the black saturday fires went through in Victoria...over much of that area the trees will never regrow...but growth will come around them like in this pic...interesting shot

@maree_sanderson Hi Maree, Snowy Mtns, Mt Selwyn. Its like this over much of the area and doesn't look like fire. Suspect just the harsh alpine conditions.

hmmm...i think you're right...remember though...lots of critters need dead trees for their homes so it may be a good and natural thing... :o)
