You may be surprised Wylie. If I ever get around to posting my shots from our recent road trip, you will see that it is no longer the Red Centre but rather the Green Centre. The whole of the centre is a carpet of green complete with wild flowers, grasses and all manner of small bushes. AND . . . . . the Finke River has quite a bit of water in it!!!!!!!!!!

@terryliv I have 'feet on the ground' in Alice and seen photos of the Finke running - but I gather no longer. It is certainly amazing when its green as you describe. I look forward to your shots. (Still washing out red dust from 2 years back).
