Old/new. by pyrrhula

Old/new.

From the old building I couldn`t find any info .
The (new) fountain was designed for the patio in the Belgian pavilion at the 1967 Montreal World's Fair. The water feature was visible from different levels. The building into which this work was to be integrated was designed by the Brussels architect Stapels.
A contemporary fountain that still compliments the tiny building in the back.

What a beautiful water feature with a lovely sound (I would imagine!) My family took all of us to the Montreal World's Fair and that's when I discovered the charm of Canada for the first time! My favorite presentation that visit was the Czech pavilion and I'll never forget all the beautiful glass items! That was a LONG time ago...I was in college, and didn't pay as much attention as I would have done today!

It has a nice balance between the natural world around it and the sleek modern stone it's made of. I think it probably sounds very soothing too with the water bubbling up from several points on the fountain. Nice shot.

The fountain is integrated into the park well. It almost seems natural there.

I love the little building, not so sure about the fountain though. Beautifully captured and lovely light.

I love the little building and the pretty shuttered windows. The fountain looks as though it is trying to overpower it

Ferry, thanks for adding your thoughts! Over the years I've learned that I love to continue to learn, and I pay more attention! 100% agree...life is for learning and not for regrets! Have a nice weekend!
