Our farmers are protesting these days against the measures that the government wants to introduce to reduce nitrogen emissions. There is much opposition to these and the way they should be implemented. Many farmers fear for their survival . An inverted flag is used as a protest. An old custom, from the shipping industry, to indicate that one is in distress.
The measures that the "Globalists" want to implement will not only ruin the farmers it will also make food shortages a common occurrence causing starvation for many. This is not really an environmental issue- if you dig deeply in the research it is more about power and politics. Great shot.
@olivetreeann In our country, other facts also play a role. We also need the land for population growth and therefore housing. And Land is no longer made. But this is politics and I like to stay away from that at 365. I like to stay friends with every one.
The story is gloomy and in powerful contrast to the bright day and colours you have captured here. I really thought it was one of Diana's South African landscapes. 😀 A very nice surprise.
Fav. Wonderful shot and country scene. Beautiful fields and clouds. I great way for farmers to show their disapproval. I hope things will work out to their favour .
Love the vivid colours and that amazing sky and cloud capture! Your explanation of the inverted flag helps us understand the deeper meaning of this shot. Fav
The photo is lively and full of saturated color. Because I'm not familiar with your nation's flag i didn't notice it was upside down until I read your comments. I, like you, tend to avoid making political statements. The ecosystem has a delicate balance and it seems that scientists on both side of the argument should be using science to determine a plan rather than those in political power.
