Earlier in my 365 project, I captured a duck exactly as she landed in the water. I've hoped to repeat it and here's a drake on his watery landing.
I was tempted to crop the pic right down to show the splash but decided the other ducks were too handsome to crop out. I also liked the reflection of the trunks of the poplar trees on the opposite bank.
I'm glad you didn't crop them out because they really look as though they are watching their mate make his splash into the water. I like the sunlight on the grass as well. Great splash too!!!
Splash down - a very candid view of the 2 friends probably giving marks out of 10 for degree of difficulty. I agree that cropping would have detracted - nice job.
I agree, I am so pleased you didnt crop, love the reflection in the water and the ducks in the foreground almost egging each other on. Loads of action. Great work!
@creativeamateur Paula, thank you - today I bought a photo frame with slots for 5 photos and guess what's going in it? All my photos of ducks, including this one. ( They're probably thinking that the water looks cold.)
