This rose bush has done so badly this summer but I found this one bloom when we arrived home from holiday.

@boogie Mags, it's not just that, the whole bush has just produced hardly any growth whilst another similar-type rose bought & planted at the same time, has done quite well.

An unusual shape - very inticate blossoms. The colour is certainy deep and rich. Not sure I understand the title though.

Ours has lots of flowers but it's all gangly - needs a good prune next year!

@doblaine Ha - great minds. This occurred to me too as I was writing the eplanation of the name. Do you think a rose called Hyde would be a bit boring in comparison? Or maybe I have that the wrong way round........... btw Gertrude pronounces her surname Jeekyll.
