'window' (november word) 19th century shepherd's hut

These were designed for use by shepherds at critical times such as lambing so they could be mobile and with their flock. Apparently you can now spend a holiday in Hampshire in a refurbished shepherd's hut.
Great one Hazel.

Just spotted this - must have missed it. I have a friend with one - its an original and he has it in his (own!) wood - kitted out with running water (of a sort), stove and bed! It is so cosy and when he fell out with his ex-wife he lived in it for months!!

@tishpics That's really interesting. It must be rather liberating to live free from a lot of material encumbrances. One thing which struck me was how did they move these things about as they don't have shafts for a horse like a gypsy caravan?

@quietpurplehaze Good point - no idea! A mystery!

@tishpics Maybe the shepherd had to push it - or enlist the help of a few trusty sheep?! Must try to find out.....
