'home made' mincemeat

I love making this as it's so easy: just put all the ingredients into a bowl and leave for 3 to 4 days, stirring each day, then pot up. Usually I give most of it away visiting friends in the run-up to Christmas but try to save a jar or three to make a few mince pies and my favourite apple and mincemeat tart.
If anybody would like the recipe, just say and I'll post it another day.
Looks yummy!

@glenmoor Potted up today and one will soon have your name on it, Julian! (I seem to remember last year was a swap of a jar of my mincemeat for a jar of Helen's!!!)

I'd be pleased if I didn't like mincemeat or other sweet things!! Two of my family don't like it either so the mince pies I make with it are mostly for visitors.
