'hot and cold': twig of a star magnolia tree with lichen

I had 'cold' hands taking this shot and good 'hot' coffee and slice of mincemeat tart in the National Trust cafe.

Yep, tenuous link between my photo and words for the day! But it's the best I can do other than another shot of what we're eating ('hot') and drinking ('cold') tonight - and I liked this one......

@judithg Well the river and streams that run through the grounds (Mottisfont NT) are on chalk and clear as a bell.
