Is this a 'shepherd's-warning' 'sun'rise I wonder?
I was still in bed drinking my first cup of tea of the day when, through the window and above the top of the conifer tree, I saw a large band of bright pink suddenly appear. So I got up and found my camera downstairs and, on my return, this was the sky. We had a very sharp frost this morning so I wonder if the sky is a precursor to some snow. (Can you tell that I'm feeling a bit deprived?)
@gerry Thank you, Gerry - this must be the first time I've put a photo on and found that the very first view has been a fav! Thanks as always for your generosity!
@quietpurplehaze your very welcome Hazel , i do hope the weather improves by the weekend as i would like to take some photos , I will have to upload some fillers later from my big laptop as at the moment my new packard bell has no photos imported to upload to 365 . its a great little netbook i have it does what i need it for . have a nice day
@gerry I have exactly the same feeling about my netbook, Gerry - it does what I need it for, mainly holidays, but also use it at home for 365 and just a few emails, when somebody is on our main computer here.
Yes, it was a beautiful sunrise - possibly the best I've ever seen - but I also agree it was angry! My 'old' camera (which I used for this shot) does sunrise and sunset very well but my 'new' camera is not good. So I also tried some shots with that and put the setting on 'vivid' - you can probably imagine!
@tishpics Funny you should say that - all the dogwalkers I've met today have been saying we are going to get snow on Friday. (Probably a false warning put about by the met office, I shouldn't wonder!!)
@pyrrhula Thank you! Is it good to have water brought to the ditches by the morning red sun? Or is it the same as 'Red sky in the morning, shepherds' warning' i.e. bad weather will follow a good sunrise?
how can you feel deprived for capturing this beauty? it is always a wonderful feeling having to witness something so beautiful first thing in the morning, never mind what's coming next. thank you for sharing, hazel.
