A gentleman passer-by in the water gardens asked me the name of this flower. He looked a bit puzzled when I told him so I added that it's used for medicinal purposes, for the immune system I thought. And then he said (in a gentle bedside-manner-type of voice) that he thought he'd retired from being a G.P. just in time.
And somehow I felt as if I was having a small 'oops' moment......
Patricia, I'm beginning to think I permanently have that teacher face on! Even when I'm asleep! I love my new camera anyway. (Well after buying the bridge Panasonic I liked it so much I bought a little Panasonic too for my handbag - très bon marché from Argos online!!!)
I did wonder when I put that in the text, Bep, about non-native English speakers - it stands for general practitioner = doctor. Thank you for your comment.

Fiona, you are sooo kind, thank you!
Well that's very interesting, thank you Claire. If I get asked again by a retired doctor, I shall add that fact in...........
You are also very kind, Paula. In fact he did seem as if he hadn't heard about medicinal uses of echinacea.
I know and well done! I only saw yours this morning (after I posted mine so thankfully not another oops moment!!!) as I was out a lot yesterday.

Thanks Hazel.
