... no, not the yellow rose, but the fact that this morning, after the first session of the digital photography workshop, and although we haven't yet touched in any depth on settings, I had the confidence to go out and take a shot on 'aperture priority'. Osmosis?!
Well done Hazel - it will soon be second nature to you!! My most used setting is AV - it will soon make sense I am sure!! Beautiful rose with lovely droplets!!
Oh ~WOW, I'm jealous! . I only have brow fungus in my garden . Not such wonderful roses as you`ve. You did captured this one magnificent.
I found only one red one that day . It`s a bit to early in season for it . It was pretty hidden in a swamp ( Ina was with me and did n`t see it as she did n`t want to get wet feet/shoes ) and yes , they are poisonous.
Lovely image Hazel, well done. My most used setting on my camera is also 'aperture priority' (AV on my Canon too) trouble is I still don't really understand exactly what it means!!!
Thanks, Pam, but hang on - I'm only up to ap.... not av......!!!!
I guessed afterwards that it must be the same!
The worst scenario is when you set something on your camera and then can't work out how to unset it! Well, for me anyway.

One red toadstool is all you need! The rose was climbing over a nearby garden wall and I saw it on my walk with Jinks so went back to get my camera.
