Notices along the quayside at West Bay ask visitors not to feed the seagulls as they have become a real nuisance. I feel it's a shame that we have made pests of these handsome birds whose natural diet is not bits of chips or crusts of sandwiches.
Have just found that Jinks is on PP so thanks everybody for your interest and support. I'd love to let him know but although he can understand many things I don't think he has yet cracked the workings of 365! http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/a-few-more/2013-11-19
Totally agree. Gulls in particular become a nasty bunch when fed this awful food. I get tired of petting zoos too where you can just feed and feed and feed animals all day--it's just unnatural on so many levels. But, this is a great shot of this regal gull! :)
Lovely shot Hazel. There is a problem with the sea gulls in our town centre particularly when they try to take food out of people's hands. A good reason not to eat food out on the street!
A beautiful close up of the gull , nice composed and pov.
I do have Cyclamen under a Japanese Acer tree . A similar one as you have. I think only the soil matters . Need to have lots of humus.
Thanks for your continuing comments and favs as ever, Ana.
We'd been to see my auntie and family in Cornwall and were en route home on Tuesday stopping at West Bay for lunch.

That's really nice, thank you. Always on my PP too and I'm trying hard not to think that Jinks is 11 (77)already and he is slowing down - just a tad!
