....waiting, under the hazel trees in our garden, to burst into life. Jinks is happy today as he is allowed in the garden on his own again. I had confined him to barracks while he had stitches in his head as he's always ferreting under bushes and I thought he might pull them out.
We 'did' the supermarket this morning and we've used the excuse of celebrating my car to treat ourselves to some bubbles and a Chinese eat-in meal. There were beautiful orchids for sale at a knock-down price but I reminded myself that I have two re-flowering and five in waiting (to re-flower but it may well not happen) and resisted the temptation to buy one.
Concert at uni this afternoon with tea and cake!
Oooo nearly forgot, thanks SO much for voting my singing robin on to PP!
Super rich purple colour Hazel -- these will be a treat when open. So many signs of spring --today is such a bright sunny day here !! Glad to hear that Jinks is on the mend !! The new car--a great excuse for a celebration meal today ----enjoy !
Lovely capture, beautiful color tones. Last year was the first time I had seen Hellebores and I fell in love with them. I will look for purple this year as I think they would be amazing in bloom.
Our friend, who lives 4 miles from us has one in bloom! http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/365/2014-01-15
