...for Bipolar Awareness Day. I only found out about it from an email from Bipolar UK to my email inbox this morning.
I just want to say that it's not a 'celebrity illness' as sometimes portrayed in the media and that ordinary people like myself have it and can live well with it.
I had my first episode of bipolar disorder when I went to university aged 19 but only found out my diagnosis more than 30 years later. I set out to research it and have found ways of managing my life on a daily basis in order to keep well. 365 is a great help in facilitating living in the moment.
Yes it is a terrible illness have a Neice In law that suffers from it, but she has got it in control and doing her Nursing degree so big up's to her... and you...
Instant fav Hazel! Gorgeous collage! My niece Ruth suffers with bipolar and life has been hard for her. She now has her 3 girls and life seems much better for her although I do worry about her. Thanks for letting me know what day it is.
A beautiful collage of these delightful asters --are they in your own garden Hazel if so I am envious as I haven't grown Asters for years and had somehow forgotten about them ! May you be able to control your illness as you seem to do so at the moment -- but nothing is easy is it ! --hugs !
well done for highlighting the day and making people more aware. love your shots the colours are still vibrant. I hope these wonderful blooms are a reflection on how you are feeling today
@quietpurplehaze Me too Hazel it has been great not only taking the shots and keeping up with themes etc. but the daily contact with such friendly people. It is helping with the isolation and worry of caring for hubby and the problems I now have because of this. Take care and enjoy your day.
Like you I was unaware of this day, you've marked it well with this bright and cheerful collage, making us all more aware of some peoples plight, I have had some issues in the past, and I find my camera helps me deal with things differently, keep up the good work Hazel. Have a wonderful day :)
Excellent collage and such vivid colours. As you know my daughter is bipolar, so I know first hand the difficulty of living in the day. Deb is doing fine now and her last episode was just after Zoe (my other daughter) died. a very traumatic time for all of us, but she is back on track now and it is so good to see her so well.
Babs, I'm so glad that Deb is doing well now and it must have been an extremely traumatic time for all of your family when Zoe died. Sending all good thoughts to your family.
Jules, and thank you for yours. Are you in England? (I think your excitement in photography matches mine!!!)
Oh well done to your niece and all good wishes to her for the future. And thanks for your comments.
I wish! They are in the walled garden at Hinton Ampner, Beryl (national trust) Thanks for hugs - reciprocated!
Wendy, thank you - 365 has been so much more in lots of ways than I ever imagined it would be!
Babs, I'm so glad that Deb is doing well now and it must have been an extremely traumatic time for all of your family when Zoe died. Sending all good thoughts to your family.
