Miss Blackbird by quietpurplehaze

Miss Blackbird

Could be Mrs Blackbird, of course. We moved the bird feeder (let's be clear, RAY moved the bird feeder) further down the garden as we were tired of the unwelcome pigeons sitting on the nearby fence of Jinks' outdoor room and making a mess on the deck.

So now the background for bird shots is this pale pink weigela currently in flower. (It's quite handy as I can sit on the deck in a chair with the long zoom and take the shots at my leisure - armchair photography.)
Excellent positioning for your bird feeder and great shot. I wonder how long it will take this lady to polish off the food here.

Nice one. We have a Mr. Blackbird who insists on using our balcony to sing from - not funny at 4:30am.

@sgtpepper

It could be worse. It could be pigeons cooing!!!!!

@quietpurplehaze Oh, we have those bloody things as well, although they have learnt to avoid our balcony due to the judicious use of a broom ;-)

@sgtpepper

Perhaps we should try that. To date we've been doing the stand up quickly, wave your arms about and shout 'Shoo' deterrent.

Lovely capture and I understand the pigeon problem as from my picture the other day. Blackbirds are in the same family as Magpies so I have to give this a FAV.

great detail in your blackbird hazel.
Could it take a serious crop so it becomes a blackbird portrait with no pole and fat balls ??

The birds in our garden don't like the seed much but they all love these fatballs.
