Last week we met Maggie and Dave for lunch and they told us that some friends who saw my portrait thought it would be apt on Dave's funeral order of service. I felt a bit nonplussed at first but then decided to take the comment as a compliment and maybe re-name my post as 'the essence of Dave'.
I should add that Dave is very much alive and very well.
Absolutely gorgeous!! I love that poem. For my birthday a couple of years ago a close friend embroidered a silk cushion with a picture of a lady dressed in purple and red with those words on it. Huge Fav for your shot and the great memory!!
That poem is the verse that the Red Hat Society girls read at their outings - and of course wear purple clothes and red hats :) Love this photo too :) Fav
