.....I haven't posted a shot of Jinks for a while.
I found him already on the rug here when I came in to the laptop. Now he's nearly 91 (in human terms) he's mellowed a bit but is still a feisty Cairn.
When we are home alone he follows me about and settles down wherever I settle; he's still full of beans on a walk and when we get to the pub where a big mountain dog lives which barked at him once, he barks as we approach the pub so as to get in first; he's still frightened of a bath and dislikes being groomed but not too frightened to growl!
I could go on but it's nearly time for the morning walk.
Jinks says thank you all for the comments: 'innocent', 'sweet', 'cute', 'beautiful' and for the fav! He's all of these things but also quite a few less complimentary adjectives....... I love him too!
Lovely Jinks!! Finlay still has a long way to go until he calms down especially on a walk. He thinks he is a big dog and likes to get in first with the barking if he sees a dog he doesn't know. They are such wonderful companions Hazel aren't they? They know we love them lots!!
I'd know this face anywhere Hazel.....he still looks bright eyed & bushy tailed though. I wonder if you left the gate open he would still do a runner? Perhaps after last times escape he has learnt sense!
He is so cute! My aunt had a Cairn Terrier named MacKellar after my great-grandmother (last name). She called him "Kels" for short. He was adorable too! This is a really sweet shot- of course the minute you got out the door I'm sure all the sweetness was gone and the "beans" were in!
Always like to hear about other folk's Cairns. We often get people coming up to us and fussing hugely over Jinks and then saying that they USED to have a Cairn. Certainly a little dog with a big personality. I know Jinks is getting on and I'm not sure if I'd cope with another, might have to look for a lap dog!
Pam, thanks. Jinks is very cute and knowing but also a little rascal!!!! Like Finlay he thinks big - in his mind he is an alsatian or similar. Hope your cold is gone soon.

Pat, you cannot be serious! He'd be gone!!!
