Crocuses in sunlight....

... growing close to North Pond, which I pass on my way from South Pond into Bishops Waltham.

In the summer North Pond was completely dry but now, filled with water again, it is home to ducks, swans, coots and moorhens.

Quite often local councils in England plant spring flowers such as daffodils and crocuses on grass verges by the roadside. There are a few places near us where there are whole swathes/rows of daffodils.
