le pique-nique

Lucky chap in La Rochelle - wonder what was in his picnic?

Our first day back in England and it's windy and raining...

Thank you everybody who has visited and commented on my photos in France although I didn't have much time to comment in return. Normal service from today!
Lovely point of view Hazel I think you get so much more noticeable detail in monochrome, great capture for the street-25 challenge, welcome home:)

Peter, thank you for comments and the welcome, appreciated! I've only recently begun to like b&w and I agree with what you say.

Lovely shot, so glad you had a lovely holiday. I am surprised you didn't go up to this chap and chat to him. He could have been one of your strangers.

Babs, I decided not to find any strangers in France as I do find the experience quite tiring & time consuming, although I thoroughly enjoy every one. But I did remember that I asked a lady for a portrait years ago, before 365 even - she was carrying a beautiful wedding cake down the main street in a French village!

Lovely black & white, the masts & boats come out well & then you have the interest of the guy with his picnic!

Wonderfully creative, original (it would not have been the same if picnic man had got up that day and put on a plain t-shirt) I think the striped t-shirt makes the picture.
