Jackie @30pics4jackiesdiamond and I got to know each other through our postings on 365, which led to us meeting up for a little photo-shoot earlier in the year at the Hospital of St Cross and Almshouse of Noble Poverty.
We had a lovely time including a stop at the hostelry conveniently located at the end of the drive to the almshouses.
On our second outing in the summer, Dave and Ray ('happy husbands') also came along and we all met at Hinton Ampner, a National Trust property.
And as you may have seen, we went back to Hinton Ampner for their Christmas event. I don't think we solved the murder mystery but we did view (and photograph) the beautiful decorations and fresh flower arrangements in the house.
We visited the little church with its beautiful stained glass windows and took a walk around the walled garden where the scarecrow had lost his cap and was looking very strange. And somehow, I unexpectedly had my photo taken near the medlar tree, devoid of fruit but clad in purpley-pink baubles and tinsel.
We concluded our visit in yet another hostelry, situated pretty much at the end of the long drive leading up to Hinton Ampner.
Such a good portrait...so well framed and lit! and posed! The last several shots have been delightful, sorry I haven't been commenting as much I'd like! Happy season.
@casablanca and we'll meet up again, on purpose, in London or down here next year!! @quietpurplehaze I like the square framing you did for this Hazel @merrelyn we dresssed up to visit you!!!
Love the anecdote and such a lovely smiley photo. Must be lovely to be able to catch up with lovely people you have 'met' on 365 and put faces to names. Fabulous!
Thank you very much for comments about my last several shots. I think I fall down often on commenting....
