Vive la France: le monastère de St Paul de Mausole...........

...............at St Rémy de Provence where van Gogh sought solace. I found his barely-furnished little room very touching.
Today Ray and I are off to an English lavender farm.
How gorgeous having a field of lavender leading to the Monastery There must be beautiful perfume when you brush against them -- Interesting re.Van Gough when I read your title I wondered why the place name sort of rang a bell !!

Beautiful, so lovely with the French lavender in flower. Do let me know if ours is in flower, we have a lavender farm that I like to visit at this time of year, the blues are wonderful to photograph:).

Yes, the lavender is in flower. Lavender Fields, where we went, only has certain open days and it was the last one yesterday. It was really too hot but we enjoyed it nonetheless. A white lavender, not yet in bloom, yielded the most perfume if you touched the plant. The usual colour lavender was all in bloom. Enjoy!
