I love these little delicate and fragile flowers and these are the first I've seen this year and probably the earliest in January that I've ever seen any snowdrops. I shall attribute the poor quality of my shot to it being a long way down to where they were growing around the gravestones in the churchyard at Fareham and not wanting to actually sit on the sodden ground.
They are early and all the more welcome for that! I can't believe you weren't prepared to lie full length on soggy ground to get your preferred shot! :-)
