There are still some flood defences in place in Winchester but the river is confined to its course once again, although still full to brimming, and the floods have subsided.
The children's playground nearby was completely under water until a couple of days ago but now workmen are busy cleaning it up to be safe for children ready for the promised warm weekend.
Great capture. I'm glad the waters are back to normal.

A lovely serene view, good contrasts & textures but most pleasing is the subsidence of the flooding & dangers.

Love the old flint wall. It does still look very wet.

The sandbags are a reminder of what might happen - but glad things are returning to normal at the moment.

A brighter forecast for a few days so let's hope all those affected can start to get back to normal.
