We went to see 'Mr Turner' this afternoon and I put my little Lumix in my bag (just in case) and was rewarded with a nightshot. I set the camera up on handheld night shot under scene mode and also on aperture priority with a high ISO and a low SS. This was the best, taken on aperture.
I enjoyed the film, great photography and some lovely scenes but I'd like to think that J M W Turner was less repulsive in real life.
I can't wait to see that film! We were lucky enough to be invited to a private view of the exhibition a the Tate yesterday evening. It was wonderful, but I want to go back for a longer, more leisurely look.
What a great night shot for hand held!! I must get my little Lumix out and use it more often. It might come in handy doing my "street Photography" for my mentoring group as it's not as conspicuous as my SLR. Love the lights and reflections Hazel!!
I bought this little Lumix when I observed that several people who had DSLRs as their first camera also had this to put in their pocket! It was a good observation! It has 16x zoom, the only item missing is a viewfinder but nothing's perfect......... (I also bought it at Argos online clearance for less than half the original price.)
It's that little Lumix again - on aperture priority and with the iso at 1600 - remembered what you said about 'up the iso, lean against a lamp post'!!!
