I think I need to take some instruction on puddle-shooting as I'm never at all sure what I'm going to get. But I did like this one, firstly for the narrow extra puddle, and secondly for the reflections of the parasol and the semi-circular window of the building.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
@cleanfreak Carole, thankyou - it was one of those shots which seemed a bit insignificant when I first looked at it but I liked it more the more I looked!
I love it too - the reflective surfaces, reflections and POV across the courtyard. I like the contrast of the pillar. To answer your question - does your photo represent what you were trying to show.
Quite so, Hazel. I often find that a picture I have initially set aside as uninteresting reveals more on a second look, and this one has a lot to see if you take the time to look closely.
@doblaine Oh yes, thanks, it does and more besides as more of the house is seen in the reflection than in the 'real' bit of the shot!! Thanks, David! Hard to explain this but for me the whole shot has a sort of carnival effect?!!
thanks all - I'm now thinking I might frame this and put it on a wall somewhere - if i can find a bit of wall!
