Winkworth Arboretum: finding a way around the geese
The geese by the boathouse on the lake were attacking these two Border terriers quite viciously. Their lady owner kept retreating to safety and finally decided the only course of action was to carry her dogs past the geese.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
I think the lady dog owner was the one! The dogs seemed not too worried but I've never seen such bold geese!
The wellies were because the ground was muddy. We did not have trouble locally here but about 15 miles away some branches were blown down. It was not nearly as bad as expected - for us, anyway. Ray saw trees being blown into the canal in Amsterdam on the TV news. Are you OK?
@quietpurplehaze Yes, We did have a storm (scale 8) but the worse of it was in the North part of Holland (scale 12). A lady was killed by that in A`dam.
Oh dear - how embarrassing for the dogs! But I know they can be quite vicious - @lucypics had a very severe peck on her bottom when she was young!! LOL!
That's a good name for the geese, I think!
Yes, I guess some fun came out of an annoyance!
Have you have troubles with yesterday`s storm? All the people wear rubber boots. Much rain ?

Yes, I imagined it would be worse in the north than the south from the weather chart on TV.
Oh nasty - I won't tell you told me! I'd never seen geese in action before - they were very determined.
