In fact although it's the last one I'm posting from our pit-stops at West Bay, this was the first cormorant I captured, zoomed at the time and cropped later because he was sitting on a post right across the harbour. I've also given him a frame to try to make him look more important. (Often, but not always, frames on my pics mean that I am trying to cover up something!)

Beryl, thank you so much for your comments and the fav. He seemed to be having a good rehearsal for his wings! Maybe he is a juvenile and not too sure of himself yet.
Rosie, thanks for kind words and fav! I think the background was a bit disapponting - a clutter of lobster pots etc - and I felt I hadn't much background left once I'd cropped that out.
