I learnt about coconut pudding from my 365-friend Jill @okbye which made me remember coconut ice. So I went to the corner sweetshop in Bishops Waltham to buy some to photograph. Had to be quick taking the shots as the men in our house really like it. Although Ray did say that it didn't taste quite as nice as when he used to make it 'when I was a boy'. It's not usually covered in chocolate.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Ooh Hazel --how tempting !! LOVE ANYTHING COCONUT !! and covered with dark chocolate -- all those calories and more to the point a no-no for a diabetic !! Great image & I shall have ti suffice on that !! :-)
Oh, Beryl, I didn't mean to upset you! And I only bought it with the dark chocolate on as the assistant said it would keep better - haha - no need! I asked her how she could bear to work in the sweet shop and she said that she doesn't like sweets!!
Looks very tempting! My mum used to make this, along with peppermint creams and fudge for the church fete each year - and then we used to go and buy it, because she wouldn't let us eat any!
@quietpurplehaze No worries, Hazel. I don't expect a follow-back. As you know, I follow people who make me chuckle and are great shooters. I know this is not the right lingo, but you get my drift, right?
Jill - I thought I was already following you and very surprised to find I wasn't - rectified now. Hope you like the look of the coconut ice!

Your mum obviously had the church funds in mind!!
Well I do the same and was astonished when I went to find your contact in my list of friends and you weren't there.
I'm not too sure what the pink dye is - could be a bit suspect if we knew!!!
