Royal Crescent, Bath by quietpurplehaze

Royal Crescent, Bath

No. 1 has been refurbished in the style of the interior of an 18th century house - interesting tour.
Taken with the in-camera panorama setting on my X20. First time I've used it and needed a few tries before this result.
Wow...impressive building, great capture

@ourrube

Ruby, these are individual residences - fancy living in one?!! I would!

@quietpurplehaze definitely! It's gorgeous!

Fantastic result, it had joined together beautifully. It can be very tricky to keep the camera level.

Well done Hazel ....you are getting good at these different effects, I can't do nearly as nearly as much as you! A very grand crescent & wonderful to see for real.

cool shot and OMG that grass is the most absolutely delicious color of green
April 11th, 2014
Spectacular building. I wonder why it was designed in a crescent?

Wonderful panorama shot, love the branch framing & the tree shadows.

Wow- great panoramic shot!
April 11th, 2014
This is wonderful, Hazel. I can't get the hang of my camera's pano function at all, but you inspire me. And yes, I could totally get used to living here.

@happypat

Pat you are kind - but the camera should take most of the credit!

@teiko

Let's have a 365 commune in Bath!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for the camera's pano, it's really a question of practice and more practice.

@pinkpaintpot

I found they were walking beautifully out of the branches' shadow!

@vega

Vega we have grass (and trees) that colour all over England. If ever I come home from a Spanish etc holiday it's the first thing I notice as the plane comes down to land at Southampton airport!

@karlow75

At first the camera kept issuing instructions - faster, slower, straighter !!!!!

Bath - one of my favourite UK cities - super shot of The Crescent, you managed to get it all in!
April 11th, 2014
Wonderful wide angle image Hazel.

April 11th, 2014
@quietpurplehaze it would just be a lovely scenic shot which , but they certainly add interest naturally strolling along holding hands

April 11th, 2014
Excuse-me, @quietpurplehaze, but you should be make a exposition of your photographic work. Yours shots are a truly artistic work. I'm talking about to print yours photos and expose at a local gallery or event.

Brilliant panorama
April 11th, 2014
Gorgeous panorama!
April 11th, 2014
Very nice. In addition to the buildings, the shadow of the tree really adds to the image :-)

@joaozitopolo

Joaozito, you are very supportive and I really appreciate your favs and comments on my photos. I did put 4 photos in a competition (but didn't win anything!) and I have one in an online competition now. But I would not want to get too competitive. 365 is really just a chance for me to be creative with no pressures. Thank you for the idea and thanks again for all the encouragement.
April 11th, 2014
great capture. The trees and people in the foreground really make the picture.
April 11th, 2014
A great panoramic shot. I was wondering how you did it when I saw it on my home page. It's a magnificent array of buildings.
April 11th, 2014
Great panarama shot
April 11th, 2014
@quietpurplehaze thank you too. but, think about :-) doesn't need to be a competition ... can be to a future photographers class, by example .
April 11th, 2014
Lovely architectural capture, it's so impressive!
April 12th, 2014
Fabulous shot, really wonderful composition.

@joaozitopolo

I guess for me, photography is just fun and fulfilment - I'm not clever in the 'technical bits' and wouldn't want to be too serious - but it's really great to have your appreciation.
April 12th, 2014
@dolphin

I've since found out that there are 30 houses in the Crescent.
April 12th, 2014
Well done using the panoramic view.
