I thought a diptych of Flo would be suitable to illustrate a little story I read in the newspaper today:
"The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department is auctioning off their infamous station rug featuring a badge mistakenly emblazoned with “In dog we trust.”
The rug — with the word ‘dog’ mistakenly substituted for ‘God’ possibly due to a computer error by the manufacturer — is available for bid at onlineauction.com where bidding started at $100 but had reached $2675 by Friday afternoon.
Proceeds from the auction will be going to Canine Estates, a dog rescue in Palm Harbor."
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
We have two Jack Russels staying at the moment Hazel.....they have been to an agility contest at Myerscough College...first & seventh place!
Your Flo is beautiful, she will be well settled in now!
Well done to the Jack Russels! Flo is not ours, (sadly!) but back with her owners in Scotland now. Clare originally fostered her as she was a rescue dog from Spain. She did a great job I think as Flo was not even house trained when she went to Clare. Her adoptive family was on holiday over Christmas and Clare was dogsitting for Flo so we were luck to have the pleasure of her for that long weekend. (I took quite a lot of shots of her!) Clare has now fostered, and passed on for adoption, 7 rescue dogs - all those happy people!
I read that story and thought the mistake was great. I am glad to hear they are turning into a profit to help dogs. Also I love you collage of Flo. Too cute. FAV
