A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
I am intrigued with the boats dotted about at the top......I thought at first they were bales of straw....had to get my glasses on! Mud is rather interesting .....all those lines & bubbles etc.
A great shot of those muddy river banks. Reminds me on my sailing live. When I sailed the coastal trade on many little places on many muddy rivers. ( Coastal trade was , often in winter time, the sail around the coast of England and get the cargo from different small harbours/towns/villages )
I thought you might. The yellow ferry you commented on in one of my pics goes from Felixstowe to Harwich. I was brought up in Ipswich but have not been there for years and guess it has changed beyond recognition.
@quietpurplehaze Same with my birth town.
Even when I was sailing I sometimes only did remember I have been there when I was in the city again and recognize it.

Oh dear, missed my opportunity. Never thought of it, Babs!
Did you ever come to Felixstowe?
Oh that could have been an interesting holiday souvenir - a jar of Felixstowe mud - I think - not!
